A balance between complete privacy and an open ambiance that connects the home with the outdoors in Montevideo Uruguay presents two completely different worlds to you. Designed by MASA arquitectos it is a series of foldable walls with wooden slats that allow the house to turn a closed living area kitchen and dining into an open pavilion-style setting that is one with the landscape around it.
The smart renovation carried out recently completely altered the ambiance of the house with the view of the majestic Pacific Ocean in the distance becoming the focal point of the makeover.
The living area kitchen and dining are open to the view on offer while the bedrooms offer a more private and sheltered setting. A translucent glass wall and outdoor fire pit with stone benches around it complete a Canadian hideaway that is exceptional and understated.
The rare combination of these two contrasting elements was needed as the house sits exactly opposite to a school. This meant that the street façade of the house needed to keep away the noise and the rush while the interior is filled with ample natural light and freshness using a smart hallway and a lush front garden.
